DescriptionDated 3 March. Thanking his son, E. A. Newell Arber, for his kindness to Thomas J. Davies, who is going to Canada to look for work accompanied by a fellow apprentice, James Herbert Davies. He writes that he has met Agnes D. Cameron who has been writing and lecturing on Canada. He exclaims: 'What a trade British Columbia will drive with England when the Panama Canal will be opened in some four years time!' In the last paragraph, which has been crossed out, he says that the political situation in the UK is very confused.
