Administrative HistoryJ.W. Harvey was Assistant Lecturer in Philosophy, Birmingham University, 1913-1927. He then went on to become Professor of Philosophy, Armstrong College, Newcastle on Tyne, 1927-1932 and then at University of Leeds, 1932-1954. He was the youngest son of Wilfred Harvey of Leeds and he married Phyllis Mabel, daughter of C. B. Bishop in 1924.
