DescriptionThis file consists of 3112 negatives from Janet Mendelsohn's photography in Birmingham between 1966 and 1968, together with digital prints for each of the images on the negatives. The negatives were digitised in 2014 when Janet Mendelsohn's photographs and papers were first deposited, and the digital prints were made from these digital images in 2017.

There are 19 sets of negatives. These have been kept in their original order, and digital copies for each set have been saved to CDs. Digital prints for each of the negative sets are available to view. The subjects of the photographs include Guy Fawkes eve; street scenes and adult and child subjects of photography work in Balsall Heath; Guy Fawkes fair, Small Heath Park; Bull Ring and Rag Market in Birmingham; and a car show. Frequently photographed individuals include a woman named 'Tracey' and a man named 'Zamid'.
