Administrative HistoryFauset Welsh was a pupil at King Edwards' School, Birmingham 1914-1921. He then studied medicine at the University of Birmingham, graduating with a BSc in 1924 and an MB ChB in 1927. He was President of the Guild of Undergraduates 1924-1925.
He was a Lieutenant in the Royal Army Medical Corps 1928-1929 and subsequently RSO and Surgical Registrar at the General Hospital, Birmingham, and Casualty Officer at the Children's Hospital, Birminghm. He was also Lecturer in Antomy at the University of Birmingham
