| Administrative History | The Youth Hostels Trust was established in 1933 as an independent trust with limited liability to purchase and hold property on behalf of the Youth Hostels Association, and to manage grants and funding. Properties could be licenced to the YHA or to regional groups to be managed and run by them.
In 1993, all of YHA's business interests were transferred to the Trust, which became a limited company and was renamed YHA (England and Wales) Limited. |
