| Administrative History | Originally the Secretarial Appointments Board established in 1885 by the National Council. The board was to consist of five members of the Council in addition to the official members. Aims of the Board were: a) acquire information of persons qualified for and 'desirious' of becoming Secretaries b) to provide facilities for candidates to obtain experience and knowledge of role c) keep register of candidates and approval d) placing candidates in communications with committees of Associations |
