DescriptionBlack and white photograph of women serving tea and biscuits to soldiers outside in Esbekiah Gardens. The soldiers are dressed in military uniform and the women stood behind the tables are wearing aprons, long sleeve shirts and bonnets. The group is made up of various nationalities (deduced by style of military service cap), including Australians, Britons and New Zealanders. The different uniforms feature the British service cap, British tropical hat, Australian slouch hat and New Zealand 'lemon squeezer' hat. There are three urns and stacks of cups and saucers. An Egyptian man wearing a tarboosh and apron can also be seen serving tea to the soldiers.
