Description | Black and white photograph of YMCA hut at Kasr-el-Aini Hospital in Cairo. A YMCA logo is displayed on the outside of the hut and a group ofsoldiers wearing striped pyjamas and their service caps can be seen sat in front of the hut. The soldiers are of various nationalities (deduced by style of military service cap), including Britons and Scots. The different uniforms feature the British service cap, British tropical hat and Scottish Glengarry cap. One of the soldiers is wearing a sling and another is holding crutches. A man wearing a suit and bow tie is stood to the left of the group and an ?[Egyptian] man wearing a robe is stood to the right. Another Egyptian man can be seen standing to the far right, watching the group as their photograph is taken. |
