Activity
The Discovery Foundation was established in 1967 using a gift of funds following the winding up of the Nurses' Christian Movement. It was founded with the aim of fostering a Christian concern for nurses and nursing, though it professed an inclusiveness of all professions and all denominations. It was also keen to foster medical research and made financial grants to the London Medical Group so as to assist their lecture and seminar programme in twelve teaching hospitals. It was wound up in 1992.
