Activity | In 1844 CMS took over responsibility for the mission, the funds were transferred to the Society and the CMS Auxiliary became the Simla (or Himalaya) Corresponding Committee. The committee's final meeting was held September 1846, when it was dissolved, because so many of its members had been moved to other stations. The work at Simla and Kotgur was then placed under the Calcutta Corresponding Committtee with the hope (unrealised) that another committeee would be formed at Agra for the missions of the North-West Provinces. |
